Despite stellar play on both sides of the ball from Bob Chipman and scrambling threat Mike Fernandez The Trucks With Cash were able to hold on for their second victory. It was all about the rookies for the Trucks as Lincoln Lynch was under center in his 508FF debut. He threw the ball all over the yard and often found Jon Zenquis. Zenquis not only caught 2 touchdowns but also intercepted 2 passes in his debut. Pat Ford anchored the line as usual and Kenny Horan was all over the secondary all day.

Planet Fitness 14
Camp Gummage 0

Scoring:

Mike Ro from Tim Haringa (conversion failed)
Tim Haringa Run (Dan Roleau run)

The physical front line of Planet Fitness again carried the day in the trenches. Camp Gummage was lead by a solid day catching the ball by Brian Whitten and solid defensive play by Doug Taylor. Co-Offensive Players Of The Week: Bob Chalmers (508 Athletics) and Tim Haringa (Planet Fitness) Haringa showed versatility running for a score and throwing for one. Defensive Player Of The Week: John Zenquis (Trucks With Cash) Zenquis had 2 interceptions, one in the end zone. He also could have been in the running for OPOTY as he grabbed 2 touchdowns in his game as well.

RESULTS 9/20

Scoring:
PF- Haringa from Dutton (Conversion Failed 6-0)
PF- Haringa from Dutton (Conversion Failed 12-0)
PF- Claro from Dutton (Conversion Failed 18-0)

Recap:

The first game in 508FFL history got off to a quick start as Danny Roleau brought back the opening kickoff deep into the Rangers end. Planet Fitness used this formidible line to run the ball for most of their offense behind QB Josh Dutton doing a lot of work on the ground. Tim Haringa caught 2 balls for scores and Tony Claro broke a long touchdown run on a short pass in the second half.

For Walker's Jason Recore was the offensive standout both running routes and under center and Bob Chipman the defensive standout as he grabbed a lot of flags on the day. He was also a 2 way threat anchoring the Walker's line from the center spot.

Trucks With Cash 12
Camp Gummage 7

Scoring:
TWC- Reddington Run (Conversion Failed 6-0)
TWC- Dumas from Reddington (Conversion failed 12)
CG- C. Whitten from Jameson (Jameson Run 12-7)

In a sloppy second affair Trucks With Cash held on in a scoreless second half to hold on for the win. Camp Gummage QB Eddie Jameson was extremely impressive throwing the ball both down field as well as in the flats. Kiel Dzivasen was working the short routes well. The Gummage squad used a lot of exotic blitz looks to keep the Trucks guessing.

The Trucks overcame a bad interception thrown by backup QB Anthony Leonelli in the end zone and a Reddington touchdown pass brought back on a block in the back. Defensively the Trucks were lead by John Young's play on the defensive line and Joe Reddington's 3 interceptions. Kenny Horan's versatile contributions were also huge in this hard fought win.

Offensive Player Of The Week: Tim Haringa, Planet Fitness: Two Touchdowns in a convincing Week One victory for the Planet Fitness squad.

Defensive Player Of The Week: Joe Reddington, Trucks With Cash: Rushing the passer, locking up wideouts and playing saftey Reddington lead the way all day for the Trucks.
